La-Canada Golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones. There are 18 holes 5841 Metres Par 70.

Location:
The golf course is situated high above Guadario and close to Sotogrande. It offers very well maintained greens, a variety of citrus trees and the glen on the 9th hole which lends its name to the golf course.
Description:
This is the only public golf course on the Costa del Sol. Situated close to Almenara in the Guadiara area it is fast becoming another favourite with our visiting and resident golfers. La Canada was for many years just a 9 hole course, the first nine designed by Robert Trent Jones and opened in 1982. The new nine was designed by Dave Thomas and opened in 2001. It has lovely views across the Rio Guadiaro to the Mediterranean and Valderrama This golf course is not hilly, so if you enjoy golf without a buggy this is a good one to try.
The main features are the excellently maintained greens, a large number of trees, mainly made up of indigenous species, and the gully (Canada) on the 18th which gives the course its name.
The golf course can be played without difficulty and buggies are not necessary. The greens have subtle borrows and are very well looked after. An ideal round for strategic play, and you will have to use all of your clubs. Any good amateur is guaranteed a fun game.
The locals have the Glen for a favourite on the 9th hole. The course is designed with well groomed fairways and greens.
