The golf is situated next to the protected Sierra de Mijas Forest in Malaga, and this beautiful rural golf course provides a delightful test of golf as well as wonderful panoramic views
Description:
The course has a simple layout and is peppered with water hazards which can be easily viewed. In addition there are large fast greens and challenging local winds which can demand a little extra skill. The course is suitable for all levels of player and is an ideal venue for assessing your strengths and weaknesses.
An original feature of this very active golf course is that each hole is named after a bullfighter! It has all characteristics of a Spanish parkland course with its orange, lemon and olive trees. Especially the olive trees can cause some awkward ball positions if you are not accurate enough. For those among us who are terrified by water hazards, be aware!
It is the ideal spot to assess your current game, and potential to measure up with players of a similar ability. The better players can card flattering scores, and do their ego a world of good.
Lauro has recently added an additional 9 holes to the course.
The course is quite level, and there are eight lakes just waiting to catch you! The clubhouse is interesting as it is a 200 year old Spanish Cortijo that has been restored to house a restaurant, bar, pro shop, and offices, all surrounding a lovely Spanish patio -- the perfect spot for after the game.
