Description:
Malaga Golf Parador is a Golfing paradise. It is the oldest golf course in Andalucia and is a fairly flat mixture of parkland and links style holes featuring some seawater lagoons.
The golf is a simple building with two floors and rooms looking out over the garden. The swimming pool is a nice size, and whether you are resting in the garden by the pool or on your balcony, you can feel the cool sea breeze (quite a relief in the hot Summer months).
This Championship course can be described as partly a links course and partly a parkland course. It's here at parador del Golf where you will enjoy a multitude of exotic parakeets if you're lucky! The golf course has it's own character compared to most other courses at the coast and it is both a challenge for the experienced golfer and kindly for the less experienced between us. The golf course is still owned by the state and part of the Parador.
Since its beginning an extra 9 holes have been added giving golfers the option of three different courses to play.
Two interesting holes are the ninth and eighteenth. The par 3 ninth's green is not easy to hit and then tricky to read slopes, especially on a windy day.
The par 4 eighteenth is one of the most difficult courses on the Costa del Sol being a double dogleg with a woody area catching any drives straying to the left.
But the best thing about both holes is the refreshment stand offering drinks and tapas on completion.

"One disadvantage of this modern, sporty parador is its proximity to Malaga Airport. Low planes fly over very all day long, especially in high season, and the noise and frequency can get quite irritating".
