The golf course is situated just off the N-340, near the hospital on the eastern side of Marbella.
Description:
The golf course is links style, par 72, length 6,704 yards from the Green tees, 6,329 from the Yellow tees, 5,918 from the Black tees, and 5,492 from the Gray tees.The course is a challenging layout for all skill levels, and plays to a rating of 72.4 with a slope of 118.
It is part of a real estate development which gives it an urban feel and at times you feel the course has been designed around the development on the first nine.
The back nine is more challenging and has some tough holes. Our favourite is the long par 5 13th and the 18th is a nice finishing hole water around the green.
There is also an annual Junior Golf Program. The Junior Golf Program includes complimentary golf privileges, complimentary driving range privileges, and golf instruction. Santa Clara hosted the 58th Annual Spanish Professional Championship in June 2003, quite an honour for a new course and indicative of the quality and prestige Santa Clara has been able to achieve in a short time.
The Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club was developed by the City's Sports & Open Space Authority on 155 acres of City-owned property. It is part of the Santa Clara Trade and Convention Center Complex which also includes the Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Santa Clara, and TECHMART office building.
