Description:
Sotogrande has three golf courses, Sotogrande and Valderrama and La Canada. There are facilities for horse riding, polo, tennis, fronton, paddle tennis and sailing. Sotogrande is also one of the top venues in the world for polo and the only place in Europe where the sport is played throughout the year.
Sotogrande-la-reserva is a long course with wide, undulating fairways and well guarded greens. The greens are often multi-level with slopes and speed to deal with. Great views from many holes, especially the 15th. Tee times are every 12 minutes.
Santiago Luna, four times Spanish Champion and member of the European Tour for more than twenty years, makes the following suggestions of La Reserva:
"This golf course requires players to use all the clubs in their bag. It's very entertaining and can be made either easy or difficult. The course is very large featuring wide fairways and greens, in addition to being very well contoured".
